Accessibility Statement

We want every person who visits this site to be able to use it, and to be able to reach us if they cannot.

Our commitment

Withers, Brant, Igoe & Mullennix, P.C. is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, screen magnification, speech recognition, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology. Access to legal information should not depend on how a person reads a page.

Standard we build to

This site is designed and maintained to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Measures taken

  • All text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background; large text and interface boundaries meet or exceed 3:1.
  • Every function is operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a "skip to main content" link at the start of each page.
  • Pages use semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading hierarchy, so assistive technology can navigate by region and by heading.
  • Form fields have persistent, programmatically associated labels; required fields are identified in text as well as visually; and instructions are not conveyed by color, shape, or position alone.
  • Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • The layout reflows to a single column and remains usable at 400% zoom and on small screens, without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
  • Motion and transitions are reduced automatically for visitors whose systems request reduced motion, and the palette adapts for visitors who request increased contrast or use Windows High Contrast mode.

Accommodations for clients and visitors

Accessibility does not stop at the website. If you need an accommodation for a meeting, consultation, or mediation: an accessible entrance, an interpreter, assistive listening, extended time, or documents in an alternative format. Contact us in advance and we will make arrangements.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is a continuing obligation rather than a one-time audit. We review this site when it changes, and we welcome feedback that tells us where it falls short. Some content provided by third parties may not be fully within our control; where that is the case, we will provide the information to you directly on request.
