Isaac Ames practices at the intersection of real estate and private business: purchases and sales, commercial leases, contracts, private mergers and acquisitions, and business formation. He also handles the litigation that follows when those deals are disputed.
He holds both a law degree and an M.B.A. from UMKC, and ran businesses before he practiced law. Clients get a lawyer who reads a deal the way an owner does, not only the way a litigator does.
Isaac is fluent in Spanish and represents Spanish-speaking business owners throughout the Kansas City region: se habla español. That work has expanded the firm’s reach into communities that have historically had a harder time finding counsel who can advise them in their own language.
He is licensed in both Missouri and Kansas. His student note on the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act was published in the UMKC Law Review in 2020.
