  • Construction & Railroad Matters

Judge Larry Harman spent 26 years as a Missouri circuit judge. Parties who mediate with him are sitting across from someone who has decided cases like theirs from the bench, and who can tell them, credibly, what is likely to happen if they do not settle.

He mediates and arbitrates personal injury, product liability, medical negligence, race and gender discrimination, probate litigation, Missouri Merchandising Practices Act, construction, railroad, and real estate matters.

Before joining the bench in 1992, Judge Harman practiced for fourteen years, primarily as a litigator, and served as city attorney for Smithville and Lathrop, city prosecutor for Liberty, Prosecuting Attorney for Clay County, and Special Assistant Attorney General.

During his judicial tenure he sat on the Missouri Trial Judge Education Committee for more than fifteen years and chaired the Missouri New Judge Orientation Committee; he trained the judges now hearing cases across the state.

Outside the law, he is a working jazz musician with decades of membership in the American Federation of Musicians, a Liberty United Methodist Church member, and a longtime volunteer at the Corbin Theater.
