S. Beau Broussard
Super Lawyers-recognized litigator handling commercial disputes, trust and estate litigation, and family law, with prior experience as general counsel to a national manufacturer.
Beau Broussard came to Withers, Brant, Igoe & Mullennix after more than a decade running his own practice, and before that served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for Burlington Mattress Co., a Tempur Sealy International subsidiary. He has been the client, the person who has to explain legal risk to a board and a balance sheet, and that shapes how he advises one.
His practice spans civil and commercial litigation and transactional work, trust administration and trust litigation, estate planning including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, and family law matters ranging from divorce and child custody to support and orders of protection. He also handles contract and real estate disputes.
Beau’s approach is to make sure a client understands their rights, their obligations, and their real exposure first, then to pursue the amicable resolution if one exists and advocate hard if one does not.
He has been recognized by Super Lawyers since 2015 and holds the Client Distinction Award from Martindale-Hubbell. He is frequently appointed as Guardian ad Litem, representing the interests of children in contested matters.
